This role supports the planning and delivery of engineering projects for SATS facilities and operations in Singapore. Candidates are generally expected to hold a diploma or degree in engineering, facilities management, construction, or a related discipline, with relevant project coordination experience. Responsibilities may include preparing project plans and budgets, coordinating consultants and contractors, monitoring schedules, managing documentation, supporting procurement, and ensuring compliance with workplace safety and technical standards. The ideal candidate is organised, commercially aware, and comfortable working with multiple stakeholders. Strong communication, problem-solving, reporting, and vendor-management skills are important. Experience in aviation, food production, industrial facilities, or other regulated environments would be advantageous.
SATS Ltd is a Singapore-headquartered provider of aviation and food solutions. The company supports airports, airlines, hospitality businesses, institutions, and other customers through services such as inflight catering, food production, passenger and ramp handling, cargo handling, logistics, and related gateway operations. SATS has an extensive presence across Asia and international markets, with operations that depend on reliable facilities, engineering systems, safety controls, and efficient project delivery. Its Singapore activities are closely connected with Changi Airport and the wider aviation and food-services ecosystem. Employees typically work in a highly regulated, operationally focused environment where quality, food safety, security, customer service, cost control, and business continuity are important. Engineering project professionals may contribute to facility upgrades, equipment installations, infrastructure improvements, and initiatives that improve productivity and operational resilience.
Singapore is a compact, well-connected island city with opportunities in aviation, logistics, engineering, technology, finance, healthcare, hospitality, and advanced manufacturing. English is widely used at work, while Mandarin, Malay, and Tamil are also official languages. The culture is multicultural, punctual, practical, and generally respectful of workplace hierarchy and regulations. Public transport is fast and reliable, and most neighbourhoods offer shopping, food centres, parks, and healthcare nearby. Housing can be expensive, especially in central areas, so newcomers often compare room rentals, shared apartments, and locations near MRT stations. Singapore is hot and humid year-round, with heavier rain during monsoon periods. Foreign professionals normally need an employer-sponsored work pass, such as an Employment Pass or S Pass, subject to salary, qualifications, and government approval. Arrange housing, insurance, banking, and tax registration before or soon after arrival.
