SATS Ltd is a Singapore-headquartered provider of food solutions and gateway services supporting the aviation, hospitality, healthcare and other industries. The company operates across Asia and international markets, delivering services such as airline catering, food manufacturing, logistics, baggage handling, airport ground operations and passenger services. SATS works with airlines, airports, institutions and businesses, combining operational expertise with technology to improve safety, efficiency and customer experience. Its workforce includes culinary specialists, aviation professionals, engineers, operations teams and corporate functions. As a major aviation-services employer in Singapore, SATS offers exposure to large-scale, highly regulated operations and opportunities to work on digital transformation, automation, analytics and artificial intelligence projects.
Singapore offers strong opportunities in aviation, technology, finance, logistics, healthcare and advanced manufacturing. For an AI engineering intern, prospects are concentrated around Changi, business parks and technology hubs, with roles available at airlines, airport-service providers, banks, startups and multinational companies. The culture is multicultural, efficient and generally professional, with English widely used at work. Lifestyle is convenient, safe and highly connected, featuring excellent public transport, diverse food, shopping, parks and lively neighborhoods. Costs can be high, particularly for accommodation. Foreign interns normally need an appropriate work pass arranged with the employer, commonly a Training Employment Pass or related authorization depending on eligibility and duration. Relocating involves securing accommodation, arranging insurance and understanding local employment and immigration rules. Singapore’s compact size makes commuting straightforward, while its airport provides easy access to destinations across Asia.
