Singapore is a compact, well-connected island city with opportunities in aviation, logistics, technology, finance, hospitality, healthcare, and professional services. Its multicultural society blends Chinese, Malay, Indian, and international influences, reflected in its food, festivals, languages, and neighbourhoods. The lifestyle is convenient and generally safe, with excellent public transport, modern amenities, diverse dining, parks, and easy access to regional travel. Living costs, particularly rent, can be high, although public transport and local food are relatively affordable. International interns and employees must hold the appropriate work authorisation. Students commonly use an internship-related Training Employment Pass or other eligible pass, while full-time professionals generally require an Employment Pass, S Pass, or related permit sponsored by an employer. Check current requirements with Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower before relocating. Arrange accommodation, healthcare coverage, banking, and tax registration where applicable.
