Candidates should be pursuing a diploma or degree in business, aviation, hospitality, marketing, or a related field. Strong written and spoken English, good Microsoft Office skills, attention to detail, and confidence working with data and stakeholders are expected. The successful intern should be organised, commercially aware, service-minded, and comfortable working in a fast-paced airport environment. A proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to handle confidential information professionally are important.
SATS Ltd is a Singapore-based provider of food solutions and gateway services serving the aviation, hospitality, cruise, and institutional sectors. The company supplies inflight meals, catering, food distribution, passenger services, ramp and baggage handling, cargo handling, and other airport-related support. SATS operates through a broad international network and works with airlines, airports, food businesses, and travel partners. Its Singapore operations are closely associated with Changi Airport, one of Asia’s major aviation hubs. The company places emphasis on safety, service quality, operational reliability, food innovation, and sustainable growth. An internship with SATS can provide exposure to airline account management, airport operations, commercial coordination, and the international aviation industry. The work environment is generally collaborative and structured, although airport operations may require flexibility and professional communication with multiple stakeholders.
Singapore is a compact, safe, and highly connected island with strong opportunities in aviation, logistics, hospitality, finance, technology, healthcare, and professional services. Changi Airport and the surrounding aviation ecosystem offer roles in airline operations, ground handling, cargo, engineering, customer service, and commercial management. The culture is multicultural and business-oriented, with English widely used alongside Mandarin, Malay, and Tamil. Lifestyle is convenient, urban, and active, with efficient public transport, excellent healthcare, diverse food, shopping, parks, and easy regional travel. Housing can be expensive, especially in central areas, so many newcomers rent rooms or live near MRT lines. Foreign interns and employees generally need an appropriate work pass, such as a Training Employment Pass, Employment Pass, or S Pass, depending on eligibility and salary. Employers usually guide applicants through the application process. Bring relevant qualifications, check visa rules early, and budget carefully for accommodation and daily expenses.
