The Continuous Improvement Intern will support process-improvement initiatives at SATS Singapore Hub, including reviewing workflows, identifying inefficiencies, analysing operational data, and helping implement practical solutions. Candidates should be pursuing a diploma or degree in business, engineering, operations, supply chain, data analytics, or a related discipline. Familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, is expected; knowledge of process-mapping, Lean, Six Sigma, or data-visualisation tools would be advantageous. The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, attention to detail, initiative, teamwork, and the ability to work in a fast-paced aviation and logistics environment. Candidates should be willing to learn, engage stakeholders, and support measurable improvements in service quality, productivity, and operational performance.
SATS Ltd is a Singapore-based provider of food solutions and gateway services, supporting airlines, airports, hospitality businesses, cruise operators, healthcare organisations, and other customers across Asia and international markets. Its services include airline catering, food distribution, cargo handling, passenger services, aircraft cleaning, baggage handling, and airport logistics. SATS operates through a broad network of facilities and partners, with Singapore serving as a major regional hub. The company focuses on food safety, operational reliability, innovation, sustainability, and improving the end-to-end travel experience. Employees work in a multicultural, highly coordinated environment where aviation, supply-chain, technology, and hospitality expertise come together. An internship with SATS can provide practical exposure to large-scale operations, continuous improvement methods, cross-functional teamwork, and the standards required in a safety- and service-driven organisation.
Singapore is a compact, well-connected island with opportunities in aviation, logistics, technology, finance, healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing, and professional services. Its culture is multicultural, with English widely used alongside Mandarin, Malay, and Tamil. Residents enjoy efficient public transport, reliable infrastructure, diverse food, shopping, parks, beaches, and a generally safe urban lifestyle. Living costs are relatively high, especially rent, although public transport and local food can be affordable. Foreign interns and employees must hold the appropriate immigration approval; common options include the Training Employment Pass, Training Work Permit, Employment Pass, S Pass, or Work Permit, depending on qualifications, salary, and role. Employers usually submit the application. Before relocating, candidates should confirm accommodation, insurance, tax obligations, and pass eligibility. Singapore’s warm, humid climate and fast-paced work culture are also important considerations.
