This internship supports Hub Performance & Capability (HPC) outreach activities at SATS. Typical requirements include being a current undergraduate in business, communications, human resources, hospitality, aviation or a related discipline; strong written and verbal communication; good coordination and presentation skills; and proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar tools. The candidate is expected to help organise engagement initiatives, prepare communications and materials, coordinate with internal stakeholders, gather feedback, and support projects that improve employee capability and operational performance. A proactive, organised and collaborative approach is important, along with an interest in aviation, airport services and workplace learning.
SATS Ltd is a Singapore-based provider of aviation, food and gateway services. The company supports airlines, airports, hospitality businesses and other customers through services such as aircraft ground handling, passenger and ramp services, air cargo handling, in-flight catering, food production and logistics. SATS operates across Singapore and international markets, connecting people, businesses and communities through its role in the aviation and food ecosystem. Its Singapore operations are closely associated with Changi Airport and involve large, diverse teams working in a highly regulated, safety-focused environment. The company places importance on service quality, operational reliability, teamwork, employee development and continuous improvement. An internship with SATS can provide practical exposure to airport operations, corporate support functions, stakeholder engagement and the capability-building activities needed to maintain strong service standards.
Singapore is a compact, highly connected island city with opportunities in aviation, logistics, hospitality, technology, finance, healthcare and professional services. Its multicultural society blends Chinese, Malay, Indian and international influences, reflected in its food, festivals and languages. Public transport is efficient, while housing, dining and entertainment range from budget-friendly neighbourhood options to premium districts. The climate is hot and humid throughout the year, with frequent rain. Foreign interns and employees generally need an appropriate pass, such as a Training Employment Pass, Work Holiday Pass or Employment Pass, depending on eligibility, duration and salary; the employer usually supports the application. Before relocating, arrange accommodation, insurance, banking access and transport planning. Costs can be high, particularly for rent, so shared housing and living near MRT lines are common choices. Changi Airport and the wider aviation cluster offer valuable career exposure.
