About the employer

SATS Ltd is a Singapore-based provider of food solutions and airport services, with operations across Asia and other international markets. The company supports airlines, airports, hospitality businesses and institutions through airline catering, food manufacturing, logistics, cargo handling, passenger services and ground operations. Its work helps keep airports and wider supply chains running efficiently, from preparing meals and managing cargo to assisting passengers and aircraft turnaround activities. SATS operates in a highly regulated, international environment and employs people in operational, commercial, technical, corporate and support functions. Group Treasury contributes to the financial strength of the wider organisation by helping manage liquidity, banking relationships, funding and financial risks. An internship offers exposure to the finance function of a large, globally connected aviation and food-solutions group.

Working in Singapore

Singapore is a compact, highly connected island city with strong opportunities in aviation, logistics, finance, technology, healthcare, hospitality and professional services. English is widely used at work, while Mandarin, Malay and Tamil are also official languages. The culture is multicultural, orderly and generally fast-paced, with excellent public transport, reliable infrastructure and a wide range of food and entertainment. Housing can be expensive, particularly in central areas, so many newcomers share apartments or live near MRT stations outside the city centre. International interns and employees must have the appropriate permission to work; employers usually arrange the relevant work pass, such as an Employment Pass, S Pass or internship-related training pass, depending on eligibility and programme structure. Prospective hires should confirm requirements with SATS and Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower before relocating. Singapore is safe and convenient, though living costs and humidity require planning.
