SATS Ltd is a Singapore-headquartered provider of gateway services and food solutions serving the aviation, hospitality, cruise, food, and institutional sectors. The company supports airports and airlines through passenger services, baggage handling, ramp and aircraft services, aviation security, cargo handling, and catering. Its food business also produces and distributes meals and other food products for airlines, businesses, healthcare organisations, and consumers. SATS operates across Singapore and international markets, working with airline, airport, hospitality, and logistics partners. As a large operational organisation, it employs people in frontline service, culinary production, logistics, engineering, administration, technology, safety, and training. Employees typically work in structured, compliance-focused environments where teamwork, reliability, customer service, and operational discipline are important.
Singapore is a compact, safe, and highly connected island with opportunities in aviation, logistics, hospitality, finance, technology, healthcare, manufacturing, and professional services. English is widely used at work, while Malay, Mandarin, and Tamil are also official languages. The culture is multicultural, organised, and generally fast-paced, with strong emphasis on punctuality and service standards. Public transport is excellent, and most residents live in apartments near MRT stations. Housing, dining, and transport are convenient, although rent can be expensive. Foreign employees normally need employer-sponsored permission such as an Employment Pass, S Pass, or Work Permit; eligibility depends on salary, qualifications, occupation, and government requirements. Before relocating, confirm sponsorship, medical checks, contract terms, insurance, and accommodation costs. Singapore’s tropical climate is hot and humid year-round, with frequent rain, so lightweight clothing and adaptable plans are useful.
