This internship supports the Finance Business Partner team at SATS’s Singapore hub. Typical responsibilities may include preparing management reports, analysing financial and operational data, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, tracking business performance, and supporting month-end activities. Candidates are generally expected to be pursuing a degree or diploma in Finance, Accountancy, Economics, Business, or a related discipline. Strong Excel and analytical skills, attention to detail, communication ability, and an interest in commercial finance are important. The successful intern should be organised, proactive, comfortable working with numbers, and able to collaborate with stakeholders across the business.
SATS Ltd is a Singapore-headquartered provider of aviation and food solutions. The company supports airlines, airports, hospitality businesses, institutions, and other customers through services such as ground handling, inflight catering, food distribution, logistics, and central kitchen operations. Following its acquisition of Worldwide Flight Services, SATS has an extensive international network serving airports and customers across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and other regions. Its Singapore hub is an important base for finance, operations, technology, and corporate functions. SATS employs people in areas including airport services, engineering, culinary operations, supply chain, customer service, finance, and business development. The organisation generally values safety, service quality, teamwork, operational discipline, innovation, and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
Singapore is a compact, highly connected island city with strong opportunities in aviation, logistics, finance, technology, hospitality, healthcare, and professional services. English is widely used at work, while Malay, Mandarin, and Tamil are also official languages. The culture is multicultural, efficient, and generally respectful of hierarchy and punctuality. Public transport is reliable, and neighbourhoods offer a mix of modern apartments, hawker centres, shopping areas, parks, and waterfront attractions. Living costs can be high, especially rent, though interns may manage expenses by sharing accommodation and using public transport. Foreign interns must confirm the appropriate work authorisation, commonly a Training Employment Pass or Training Work Permit depending on eligibility and programme details. Employment Passes and S Passes apply to longer-term professional employment. Candidates should check current requirements with Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower and arrange housing, insurance, and relocation funds before arrival.
