Working in Singapore

Singapore is a compact island city-state with opportunities in aviation, logistics, finance, technology, healthcare, hospitality, and professional services. Its multicultural society blends Chinese, Malay, Indian, and international influences, reflected in its languages, festivals, food, and neighbourhoods. Life is convenient and safe, with efficient public transport, modern infrastructure, excellent healthcare, and many shopping, dining, and recreational options. Housing and daily expenses can be high, particularly in central areas, although public transport is affordable. Foreign interns and professionals must hold the appropriate work authorisation; employers generally arrange passes such as the Training Employment Pass, Work Holiday Pass, Employment Pass, or S Pass, depending on eligibility and role. New arrivals should budget for accommodation, secure employment before relocating, and check current immigration requirements with Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower.
