Working in Singapore

Singapore offers strong opportunities in banking, financial services, technology, logistics, healthcare and professional services. The culture is multicultural, efficient and generally business-oriented, with English widely used at work. Lifestyle options range from modern shopping districts and restaurants to parks, beaches, museums and vibrant neighbourhoods such as Tiong Bahru, Katong and Little India. Public transport is reliable, although accommodation and dining in central areas can be expensive. Foreign professionals usually need an Employment Pass, sponsored by their employer, while qualifying dependants may require separate passes. Relocating is straightforward, but applicants should budget carefully for rent, deposits, insurance and daily expenses. Singapore’s tropical climate is hot and humid throughout the year, with frequent rain. Its safety, infrastructure, healthcare and regional connectivity make it a popular base for international banking careers.
