Working in Singapore

Singapore is a compact, highly connected island with strong opportunities in banking, fintech, technology, healthcare, logistics, professional services and regional headquarters. Its culture combines Chinese, Malay, Indian and international influences, reflected in languages, festivals and excellent food. Life is safe, efficient and convenient, with reliable public transport, modern healthcare and extensive shopping and dining options. Housing can be expensive, particularly in central areas, while employment packages may include bonuses and medical benefits. Foreign professionals generally need an employer-sponsored Employment Pass, subject to salary and qualification requirements; dependants may require separate passes. Relocating candidates should arrange employment approval, accommodation, insurance, banking and tax registration before arrival. Singapore’s tropical climate is warm and humid year-round, and its central location makes travel around Southeast Asia easy.
