Working in Singapore

Singapore offers strong opportunities in banking, fintech, technology, consulting, logistics and regional headquarters functions. Wholesale banking professionals can find roles in transaction banking, implementation, operations, risk, compliance, product management and digital transformation. The culture is multicultural, efficient and business-oriented, with English widely used at work. The lifestyle combines excellent public transport, safe neighborhoods, modern healthcare, diverse food and convenient city living, although housing and childcare can be expensive. Employment Pass eligibility generally depends on salary, qualifications, experience and the employer’s application; requirements and salary thresholds can change, so candidates should check Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower website. Relocating employees commonly rent apartments near MRT lines and may need to arrange healthcare coverage, tax registration and banking services. Singapore’s compact size makes commuting easy, while nearby islands, parks and coastal areas provide opportunities for leisure and outdoor activities.
