Its network operates across many countries, supporting businesses, governments, entrepreneurs, and individuals with issues involving financial reporting, risk, regulatory compliance, technology, transactions, and growth. EY’s tax professionals help clients manage compliance obligations, structure investments, understand changing legislation, and address cross-border and business challenges. The firm emphasizes integrity, quality, collaboration, inclusion, and using professional expertise and technology to create long-term value. EY Jamaica forms part of the wider Caribbean and global EY network, offering exposure to local organizations as well as regional and international clients. Work can involve collaboration across service lines and countries, providing opportunities to develop technical expertise, leadership capability, and a broad commercial understanding.
Jamaica offers opportunities in tourism, business-process outsourcing, finance, accounting, professional services, technology, logistics, construction, healthcare, education, and renewable energy. Kingston is the main commercial center and hosts many corporate and government offices, while Montego Bay is especially important for tourism and hospitality. Jamaican culture is known for its music, food, sports, warmth, and strong community traditions. Lifestyle choices range from lively urban neighborhoods to quieter coastal and inland areas, with beaches, mountains, and outdoor activities readily accessible. Living costs vary considerably, and housing and commuting expenses can be significant in Kingston and popular resort areas. Foreign nationals generally need a work permit before taking employment; employers commonly support the application, and requirements depend on nationality and role. New arrivals should verify visa, work authorization, tax, healthcare, and document requirements with Jamaican authorities and their employer before relocating.
