Destination Guide

Singapore is a compact, well-connected island with opportunities across banking, fintech, technology, healthcare, logistics, professional services, tourism and consumer businesses. English is widely used in workplaces, while the multicultural population includes Chinese, Malay, Indian and many international communities. Life is convenient and generally safe, with efficient public transport, modern amenities, abundant food options and warm weather throughout the year. Housing can be expensive, especially near the central business district; shared accommodation is a common choice for interns and newcomers. International students may need a Training Employment Pass or another suitable work authorisation, while full-time employees generally require an Employment Pass or S Pass arranged by the employer. Check current requirements with Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower before relocating. Applicants should budget for rent, transport, food, deposits and insurance, and secure accommodation only through reputable platforms or agents.
