Destination Guide

Fiji offers hospitality opportunities in resorts, hotels, restaurants, tourism, marine activities, finance, construction, and education, with many roles concentrated around Nadi, Denarau, and Suva. Fijian culture emphasizes warmth, community, respect for elders, family, and the traditional concept of bula hospitality. Life is generally relaxed, outdoors-oriented, and centered on beaches, diving, boating, village visits, and local food, although imported goods can be expensive and island travel may take time. Foreign nationals normally need an employer-sponsored work permit before starting employment; the employer commonly supports the application and relocation process. Candidates should confirm visa rules, medical requirements, accommodation, tax, flights, and contract benefits directly with Marriott. Resort packages may include staff housing, meals, transport, airfare, and health coverage, but these vary by contract.
