Destination Guide

Fiji offers hospitality, tourism, construction, engineering, marine, retail, healthcare, and education opportunities, with many resort jobs concentrated around Denarau, Nadi, Coral Coast, and the main island of Viti Levu. Fijian culture values warmth, respect, community, family, and traditional ceremonies such as kava gatherings. English is widely used, alongside iTaukei and Fiji Hindi. Island life is relaxed and outdoors-focused, with beaches, snorkeling, diving, village visits, markets, and a generally warm climate. Living costs can be higher for imported goods, especially on resort islands, while transport and housing availability vary. Foreign workers normally need an approved work permit before starting employment; employers commonly assist with sponsorship and documentation. Candidates should confirm visa conditions, accommodation, medical checks, contract terms, tax obligations, and relocation costs directly with the employer. Nadi is the main international gateway and provides practical access to resorts, services, and transport.
