Destination Guide

Singapore offers strong opportunities in banking, finance, technology, consulting, logistics, healthcare, and professional services. Its central business district hosts many international and regional financial institutions, making it attractive for students and graduates interested in markets or corporate careers. The culture is multicultural, efficient, and generally professional, with English widely used at work. Lifestyle is convenient but relatively expensive, especially for accommodation. Public transport is excellent, and residents enjoy diverse food, shopping, parks, beaches, and easy regional travel. Foreign interns should check whether their employer sponsors a Training Employment Pass or another suitable work authorisation; requirements depend on nationality, institution, salary, and programme. Relocation costs may include flights, deposits, insurance, transport, and accommodation. Shared housing or university residences can reduce expenses. Singapore is hot and humid year-round, with frequent rain, so light clothing and practical planning are recommended.
