Destination Guide

Singapore offers strong opportunities in banking, asset management, fintech, technology, consulting, logistics, healthcare, and multinational companies. The culture is multicultural, orderly, and highly international, with English widely used in workplaces and public services. The lifestyle combines efficient public transport, modern shopping and dining, diverse neighbourhoods, parks, beaches, and a busy professional scene. Living costs are relatively high, especially for accommodation, although public transport and local food can be affordable. Students and interns should confirm whether the employer arranges a Training Employment Pass, Training Work Permit, or another suitable work authorisation; visitors cannot work without approval. Full-time professionals generally require an Employment Pass or S Pass sponsored by an employer. Candidates relocating should budget for rent, deposits, insurance, transport, and daily expenses, and should verify immigration requirements directly with Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower before travelling.
