Destination Guide

Singapore offers strong opportunities in banking, technology, consulting, logistics, healthcare, and multinational corporate roles. Its multicultural society blends Chinese, Malay, Indian, and international influences, with English widely used in workplaces. Life is convenient and highly connected, supported by excellent public transport, safe neighborhoods, diverse food, shopping, parks, and extensive business districts. Accommodation can be expensive, especially near the city center, while public transport makes commuting practical from outer areas. International interns generally need an appropriate work pass arranged or sponsored by the employer; eligibility depends on the internship structure, duration, salary, and nationality. A passport, offer letter, educational documents, and medical or immigration paperwork may be required. New arrivals should budget for rent, transport, food, deposits, and insurance. Singapore’s tropical climate is hot and humid year-round, with frequent rain, so light clothing and an umbrella are useful.
