Destination Guide

Singapore is a compact, highly connected island city with strong opportunities in banking, fintech, technology, compliance, audit, logistics, healthcare, and professional services. Its culture combines Chinese, Malay, Indian, and global influences, reflected in food, festivals, and daily life. The lifestyle is safe, efficient, and convenient, with excellent public transport, modern housing, shopping, parks, and vibrant dining. Living costs—especially rent—are high, while healthcare and public services are generally reliable. Foreign professionals usually need an Employment Pass sponsored by their employer; eligibility depends on salary, qualifications, experience, and current government assessment criteria. Relocating employees should budget for accommodation deposits, insurance, transport, and schooling if applicable. Singapore’s warm, humid climate, English-speaking workplaces, and regional connectivity make it attractive for international banking careers.
