Destination Guide

Singapore offers strong opportunities in banking, fintech, technology, consulting, logistics, healthcare, and professional services, with many regional headquarters based on the island. Workplace culture is generally international, efficient, hierarchical but increasingly collaborative, and highly focused on performance and relationships. Lifestyle is convenient and safe, supported by excellent public transport, diverse food, shopping, parks, and a multicultural social scene. English is widely used in business and daily administration. Foreign interns and professionals must check the appropriate work authorization: employers typically arrange an eligible work pass, while longer-term professionals may require an Employment Pass or S Pass subject to prevailing rules. Relocation costs can be high, especially rent, so accommodation and transport should be planned carefully. Singapore's tropical climate is hot and humid year-round, with frequent rain.
