Singapore offers strong opportunities in banking, financial technology, cybersecurity, data, engineering, logistics, healthcare, and professional services. Its multicultural society blends Chinese, Malay, Indian, and international influences, with English widely used at work. The lifestyle is convenient and generally safe, supported by excellent public transport, modern shopping areas, diverse food, parks, and beaches. Living costs are relatively high, especially rent, though students and interns can reduce expenses by sharing accommodation and using public transport. International interns must confirm the appropriate work authorisation with OCBC and Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower; eligible short-term trainees may require a Training Employment Pass or another approved pass. A passport, placement documentation, proof of enrolment, and medical or insurance documents may be requested. Plan housing early, budget for deposits, and check current visa rules before relocating.
