Destination Guide

Singapore is a compact island city-state with strong opportunities in aviation, logistics, food services, technology, finance, healthcare and regional headquarters roles. English is widely used at work, and the culture combines Asian traditions with an international, efficient business environment. Housing, transport and healthcare are well developed, although rent and daily expenses can be high. Public transport is excellent, and most areas are easily accessible without a car. Foreign professionals generally need an employment pass sponsored by their employer; eligibility depends on salary, qualifications, experience and current government criteria. Dependants may qualify for related passes if income requirements are met. New arrivals should arrange accommodation, health insurance, banking access and tax registration, and confirm whether the employer provides relocation support. Singapore offers tropical weather, diverse food, safe neighbourhoods and convenient access to Southeast Asia, making it attractive for professionals relocating with or without family.
