Research Fellow (Mission decomposition and Real-time mission planning/replanning)

Job Description

This Research Fellow role focuses on decomposing complex missions and developing real-time mission planning and replanning methods, likely for autonomous systems, robotics, or unmanned platforms. Candidates are expected to hold a PhD in computer science, robotics, artificial intelligence, electrical engineering, or a related discipline, with strong experience in planning, optimisation, reinforcement learning, autonomous systems, or multi-agent coordination. Proficiency in programming, particularly Python or C++, and familiarity with simulation tools and research publications would be valuable. The successful candidate should be capable of conducting independent research, designing and validating algorithms, publishing results, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and presenting findings clearly. Experience applying research to real-world robotic or operational problems is an advantage.
