The Research Assistant will support research in materials science or engineering, including literature reviews, laboratory experiments, materials preparation, characterization, data analysis and technical reporting. Candidates are generally expected to hold a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in materials science, engineering, chemistry, physics or a related discipline. Practical laboratory experience, knowledge of materials characterization techniques, data-analysis skills and the ability to work independently are advantageous. The candidate should demonstrate careful record-keeping, sound scientific judgment, teamwork and clear communication. Experience with instruments, software, coding or research publications may be preferred depending on the project.
