Job Description

This role supports research into compact particle accelerators for X-ray generation. Candidates would typically need a degree in electrical, electronic, mechanical, materials, accelerator, or related engineering, or physics, together with practical research or laboratory experience. Useful skills may include electromagnetic modelling, particle or beam simulation, vacuum systems, RF technology, precision instrumentation, prototyping, and experimental data analysis. The successful candidate is expected to work carefully in a multidisciplinary team, operate laboratory equipment safely, document results clearly, troubleshoot technical problems, and contribute to research publications, reports, and project milestones. Experience with programming, CAD, fabrication, or scientific software would be advantageous.
