Destination Guide

Australia offers opportunities in banking, technology, healthcare, construction, education, engineering, and skilled trades, with major financial roles concentrated in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide. The culture is generally informal, multicultural, and work-life focused, with an emphasis on direct communication and workplace safety. Lifestyle varies from busy city living to relaxed coastal and regional communities; housing costs can be high in Sydney and Melbourne. International workers may use employer-sponsored visas, skilled migration pathways, or eligible Working Holiday visas, while visitors cannot work. A job offer does not automatically provide visa sponsorship, so candidates should check ANZ’s sponsorship policy and Australian immigration requirements. Relocation planning should include accommodation, tax file registration, banking, healthcare, transport, and the cost of living. Australia’s large distances mean location and travel expectations should be confirmed before accepting a mobile role.
