Sheraton Waikiki Beach Resort is a large beachfront hotel located in Waikiki, Honolulu, on the island of Oahu. It operates under the Sheraton Hotels & Resorts brand, which is part of Marriott International, one of the world’s largest hospitality companies. The resort serves leisure travelers, families, groups, and business guests, offering accommodations, restaurants, pools, meeting facilities, and direct access to Waikiki Beach. Employees work in a busy, multicultural environment where guest service, teamwork, safety, and consistent operating standards are important. Marriott generally provides structured training, employee benefits, internal career opportunities, and access to travel-related associate programs, subject to position and eligibility. Because Sheraton Waikiki is a high-volume resort, roles may involve demanding schedules, frequent guest interaction, and seasonal changes in workload.
Usual for Hawaii, varies by employer. Checked November 2026.
Senior staff often get more than line staff, for example a single room or a yearly home flight. Ask the employer what the job includes before you accept.
How it works: No ordinary visa for hotel jobs; a J-1 traineeship of up to 12 months is the realistic route.
Never pay anyone for a visa or a job offer. A real employer pays the permit costs and never asks you for money.
