EY is a global professional services organisation providing assurance, consulting, strategy, tax and transactions services. Its Irish business works with public-sector bodies and companies across financial services, technology, consumer products, healthcare and other industries. EY’s Technology Consulting practice helps clients modernise systems, improve processes, manage technology risk and deliver large-scale digital and business transformations. The firm offers career development through formal learning, professional qualifications, international collaboration and exposure to major client programmes. In Ireland, EY has offices including Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick and Waterford, with Dublin serving as a major centre for consulting and financial-services work. Employees generally work in collaborative, client-facing teams, with hybrid arrangements depending on the project, security requirements and client needs.
Ireland offers strong opportunities in technology consulting, software, financial services, pharmaceuticals, cybersecurity, data and cloud computing, particularly around Dublin, Cork, Galway and Limerick. The culture is generally welcoming and informal, with good value placed on communication, teamwork and social connections. Ireland provides attractive access to nature, coastal areas, music, sport and a lively food and arts scene, although housing and rent can be expensive, especially in Dublin. Public transport is improving but many areas are easier to navigate with a car. EU, EEA and Swiss citizens can work without a visa. Non-EU applicants normally need an employment permit and must meet role, salary and eligibility requirements; a Critical Skills or General Employment Permit may apply, depending on the position. Applicants should confirm sponsorship and current immigration rules before accepting an offer.
