EY is seeking a Manager-level Full-Stack Engineer for its AI Lab in Dublin, supporting the development of an agentic AI platform within UKI Technology Consulting. The role typically requires strong experience in full-stack software development, cloud-native application design, APIs, databases, and modern programming languages such as Python, JavaScript or TypeScript. Experience with generative AI, large language models, AI agents, orchestration frameworks, data platforms, and secure enterprise solutions is highly desirable. The successful candidate is expected to lead technical delivery, design scalable products, contribute to architecture decisions, mentor engineers, work directly with clients and multidisciplinary teams, and translate emerging AI capabilities into practical business solutions. Strong communication, consulting, problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills are essential.
EY, formerly Ernst & Young, is one of the world’s largest professional services organisations. It provides assurance, tax, consulting and strategy and transactions services to businesses, governments and institutions. EY operates across more than 150 countries and combines industry expertise with technology, data and transformation capabilities. Its Technology Consulting practice helps clients modernise operations, adopt cloud platforms, improve cybersecurity, and use advanced analytics and artificial intelligence. The AI & Data team focuses on data strategy, machine learning, generative AI and responsible implementation of emerging technologies. EY’s AI Labs bring together engineers, consultants, designers and subject-matter specialists to build practical solutions for clients. In Ireland, the firm has a significant presence in Dublin and works with organisations across financial services, public sector, consumer, health and other industries. The company also promotes professional development, collaboration and responsible business practices.
Ireland offers strong opportunities in technology, consulting, software engineering, AI, financial services, pharmaceuticals and multinational business, particularly in Dublin, Cork, Galway and Limerick. The culture is generally friendly, informal and community-oriented, with English widely used and a strong social tradition centred on pubs, music and sport. Ireland provides a good work-life balance, though Dublin rents and housing competition are significant. Outside Dublin, living costs can be lower, but transport and job options may be more limited. EU, EEA and Swiss citizens can live and work without a visa. Non-EEA professionals normally need an employment permit; experienced technology specialists may qualify for a Critical Skills Employment Permit, depending on the occupation, salary and contract. Relocating usually involves securing employment, arranging accommodation, obtaining a Personal Public Service number and opening a bank account. Ireland’s mild, changeable weather and excellent coastal and countryside access suit people who enjoy outdoor activities.
