This Senior Manager role leads AI security consulting engagements for EY’s UK and Ireland clients. Responsibilities are likely to include advising organisations on secure and responsible AI adoption, assessing AI-related cyber and regulatory risks, developing governance frameworks, supporting threat and control assessments, and managing major client programmes. Candidates are expected to have substantial experience in cybersecurity, technology risk, AI security, information security governance, or related consulting. Strong knowledge of emerging AI threats, cloud and digital technologies, risk frameworks, and relevant regulations is important. The role also requires commercial awareness, excellent communication and presentation skills, leadership of multidisciplinary teams, and the ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders. Professional certifications and experience managing complex consulting portfolios would be advantageous.
EY is a global professional services organisation providing assurance, consulting, strategy, tax, and transactions services to businesses, governments, and institutions. Its consulting practice helps clients respond to technology change, improve business performance, manage risk, and meet regulatory requirements. EY operates across numerous countries and industries, combining sector expertise with capabilities in areas such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, cloud, data, digital transformation, and technology strategy. In Ireland, EY has a significant presence, including offices in Dublin and other major locations, serving domestic and international clients. The firm promotes collaboration, professional development, and responsible business, while investing heavily in emerging technologies and multidisciplinary advisory services. This role sits within EY’s UK and Ireland Technology Consulting practice and focuses on helping clients understand and manage the security, governance, and risk implications of artificial intelligence.
Ireland offers strong opportunities in technology consulting, cybersecurity, software, financial services, pharmaceuticals, medtech, and multinational technology companies, especially in Dublin, Cork, Galway, and Limerick. The culture is generally friendly, conversational, and community-oriented, with a strong social life centred on pubs, music, sport, and local events. The lifestyle combines vibrant cities with easy access to coastlines, countryside, and historic towns, although housing costs and availability—particularly in Dublin—can be challenging. Citizens of the EU, EEA, and Switzerland can work without an employment permit. Other nationals normally need an appropriate work permit, such as the Critical Skills Employment Permit, and must meet salary and occupation requirements. Relocating candidates should research accommodation early, arrange tax and immigration documentation, and consider transport and healthcare costs. Ireland’s mild, changeable weather and relatively compact geography make travel around the island convenient.
