About the employer

EY is a global professional services organisation providing assurance, tax, transaction and consulting services. Its technology consulting practice helps organisations modernise operations, manage risk and use emerging technologies to improve performance. EY’s AI and Data teams work across areas such as data strategy, cloud, analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning and responsible technology. The firm serves clients across financial services, government, healthcare, consumer products, energy and other industries. In Ireland, EY has a significant presence, with offices including Dublin, Cork, Galway and Limerick, and supports both local and international clients. The company promotes collaborative, multidisciplinary teams and offers opportunities to work on large-scale transformation programmes. As a manager, this role would combine technical leadership, client consulting, delivery management, mentoring and contribution to EY’s growing AI and data propositions.

Working in Ireland

Ireland offers strong opportunities in technology consulting, software, data science, financial services, pharmaceuticals, medical technology and cybersecurity. Dublin is the main employment hub, while Cork, Galway and Limerick also have growing technology communities. Irish workplace culture is generally collaborative, informal and relationship-oriented, with English used widely in professional settings. The lifestyle combines lively cities, music and social activities with easy access to beaches, mountains and countryside. Housing, particularly in Dublin, is expensive and competitive, so relocation planning is important. EU, EEA and Swiss nationals can work without a visa. Most other nationals need an employment permit, commonly a Critical Skills Employment Permit for qualifying technology roles; eligibility depends on salary, occupation and employer. Applicants should confirm current rules with Ireland’s Department of Enterprise, Tourism and Employment. Registration, accommodation, tax arrangements and health insurance should be organised after arrival.
