About the employer

EY is a global professional-services organisation providing assurance, tax, strategy, transactions and consulting services. Its technology consulting practice helps organisations modernise their systems, improve business performance and manage complex digital change. In Ireland, EY works with public-sector bodies and businesses across financial services, consumer products, life sciences, energy and other industries. The firm supports clients with enterprise platforms, data and analytics, cloud adoption, cybersecurity, finance transformation and technology strategy. This Oracle EPM position sits within EY’s UK and Ireland technology consulting business, where consultants typically combine technical delivery with business advisory work. EY offers opportunities to work on large transformation programmes, collaborate with international teams and develop leadership, client-service and specialist technology skills. The organisation is also known for structured professional development, mentoring and formal career pathways, although consulting work can involve demanding deadlines and periods of travel.

Working in Ireland

Ireland offers strong opportunities in technology consulting, software, cloud computing, financial services, pharmaceuticals, medical devices and multinational operations. Dublin is the main employment hub and hosts many global technology and professional-services companies, while Cork, Galway and Limerick also have growing technology and engineering sectors. Irish workplace culture is generally collaborative, informal and relationship-focused, with English used widely. Lifestyle benefits include scenic coastlines, historic towns, lively music and social scenes, and good access to outdoor activities. Housing, particularly in Dublin, is expensive and competitive, so accommodation should be arranged early. EU, EEA and Swiss citizens can live and work without a visa. Non-EU nationals generally need an employment permit and, where applicable, an entry visa; highly skilled roles may qualify for a Critical Skills Employment Permit. Applicants should confirm eligibility, salary thresholds and family-relocation rules with Irish authorities before moving.
