The Discharge Manifold Equipment Inspector is responsible for inspecting, maintaining and certifying discharge manifold equipment used in oilfield operations. Requirements typically include relevant mechanical, maintenance or inspection experience, sound knowledge of pressure-control equipment, the ability to interpret technical drawings and inspection standards, and strong safety awareness. Experience in the oil and gas, mining or heavy industrial sectors is advantageous. Candidates are expected to identify defects, complete accurate inspection records, support equipment readiness, follow Halliburton and regulatory procedures, and work effectively in a safety-critical team environment. The role may involve outdoor, workshop and field-based work, physical activity, shift work and occasional travel. A relevant trade qualification, inspection certification or mechanical background may be preferred.
Halliburton is one of the world's largest providers of products and services to the energy industry. Founded in 1919 and headquartered in the United States, the company supports oil and gas operators through drilling, well construction, completion, production, intervention and related technology services. Halliburton employs people across many countries and operates a substantial Australian business serving energy, resources and industrial customers. Its work combines field operations, engineering, equipment maintenance, digital technology and technical support. Safety, operational reliability, customer service and compliance are central to its activities. Employees may work in workshops, bases, manufacturing facilities or remote field locations, depending on their role. The company offers opportunities for tradespeople, technicians, engineers, operators, project specialists and corporate professionals, often with structured training and career-development pathways.
Australia offers employment opportunities in energy, mining, engineering, construction, healthcare, logistics, hospitality, technology and skilled trades. Roma, in regional Queensland, is a major service centre for the oil and gas industry and generally provides a quieter, community-focused lifestyle than Brisbane. Australian workplace culture values punctuality, direct communication, teamwork, practical problem-solving and strict health and safety standards. Living costs vary considerably, with regional areas often cheaper than major capitals, although housing availability can be limited. Australia has a warm climate overall, while Queensland is known for outdoor activities, beaches and national parks. Overseas workers usually need an appropriate visa, such as an employer-sponsored Temporary Skill Shortage visa, skilled visa or working holiday visa where eligible. Applicants should check occupation lists, licensing requirements, English-language rules and regional conditions before relocating. Health insurance, tax registration and accommodation planning are also important.
