About the employer

Kuredhivaru Resort & Spa Maldives is a luxury island resort located in the Noonu Atoll of the Maldives. The property offers an upscale, relaxed setting with villas, restaurants, wellness facilities, water activities, and personalized hospitality for international leisure travelers. As an Accor-affiliated career opportunity, the resort benefits from the group’s global hospitality standards, training resources, and multicultural working environment. Resort operations depend on close teamwork across culinary, rooms, guest services, recreation, engineering, and commercial departments. Working at Kuredhivaru provides exposure to high-end island hospitality, international guests, and the operational challenges of managing a remote destination resort. Culinary employees are expected to combine creativity with disciplined food safety, consistency, cost management, and attentive service. Compensation packages in the Maldives commonly include accommodation, meals, transportation within the resort, medical coverage, annual leave, and a service-charge component, depending on contract terms.

Working in Maldives

The Maldives offers employment opportunities mainly in luxury resorts, hotels, restaurants, diving, wellness, marine recreation, engineering, housekeeping, and guest services. Resort islands are multicultural workplaces, while Malé and local inhabited islands provide a more traditional community experience. Dhivehi is the national language, and English is widely used in tourism. Life on a resort island is scenic but relatively isolated: accommodation and meals are usually provided, leisure centers on beaches and water activities, and travel to Malé requires a domestic flight or speedboat depending on location. Foreign employees normally need an employer-sponsored Employment Approval and work visa; the employer generally handles the application, medical checks, and related formalities. Contracts should clearly state salary, service charge, accommodation, meals, insurance, leave, flights, and repatriation terms. Respect for Islamic customs, modest dress away from resort areas, environmental rules, and local culture is important. The tropical climate is warm year-round, with wetter monsoon periods.
