The Wedding & Events Sales Executive is responsible for generating and converting wedding, conference and social event enquiries at The William Inglis Hotel. Requirements typically include previous experience in hotel sales, events, weddings or a related hospitality role; strong communication, organisation and negotiation skills; confidence conducting venue tours and preparing proposals; and good knowledge of event planning and customer service. The successful candidate is expected to manage enquiries from initial contact through to confirmation, maintain accurate sales records, meet revenue targets, build strong client relationships and coordinate effectively with operational departments. Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends and public holidays is expected, together with a professional presentation and a genuine passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
The William Inglis Hotel is a premium equine-themed hotel in Warwick Farm, south-west Sydney, operated as part of Accor’s MGallery Hotel Collection. The property is closely connected with Australia’s horse-racing industry and offers stylish accommodation, restaurants, bars, wellness facilities, event spaces and specialist venues for weddings, conferences and celebrations. Its location near Warwick Farm Racecourse gives the hotel a distinctive identity and attracts leisure guests, racing professionals, corporate travellers and event customers. As an MGallery property, it focuses on individual character, local storytelling and personalised hospitality rather than a standardised hotel experience. Accor is a major international hospitality group with hotels and resorts across the world, providing employees with structured training, career mobility, staff benefits and opportunities to work across multiple brands and destinations.
Australia offers strong opportunities in hospitality, events, tourism, restaurants, hotels and venue sales, particularly in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and regional destinations. Workplace culture is generally professional, practical and relatively informal, with emphasis on reliability, teamwork, customer service and workplace safety. Lifestyle varies from busy city living to relaxed coastal or regional communities; outdoor activities, beaches, sport and multicultural dining are major attractions. Housing and transport costs can be high in Sydney, so applicants should research suburbs, commuting times and rental prices before relocating. Visa options may include employer-sponsored visas, skilled pathways, working holiday visas or temporary graduate routes, depending on nationality, qualifications and experience. Candidates should confirm eligibility through Australia’s Department of Home Affairs and budget for health insurance, flights, accommodation and initial living costs. Hospitality roles may require weekend and evening work, while excellent English and Australian work rights are commonly expected.
