The Director of Food and Beverage leads all dining, bar, banquet, and room-service operations at SO/ Sofitel Hua Hin. The role typically requires strong luxury-hospitality experience, proven leadership across multiple outlets, sound financial and cost-control skills, and a clear understanding of food safety, service standards, budgeting, and revenue management. Excellent English communication is expected, while Thai language ability and experience in Thailand are advantageous. The successful candidate will be energetic, commercially minded, guest focused, and capable of coaching diverse teams. Expectations include maintaining consistently high service standards, developing creative food and beverage concepts, improving profitability, managing suppliers and budgets, supporting events, and working closely with the hotel’s executive team to deliver the SO/ Sofitel brand experience.
SO/ Sofitel Hua Hin is a luxury lifestyle resort operated under Accor’s SO/ Sofitel brand, combining Sofitel’s French-inspired hospitality with a contemporary, fashion-conscious identity. Located in the Cha-Am and Hua Hin area of Thailand, the resort serves leisure travelers, families, couples, wellness guests, and groups attending meetings or celebrations. Its food and beverage offering is an important part of the guest experience, with restaurants, bars, events, and resort services requiring strong operational coordination. Accor is a major international hospitality group with hotels and resorts across the world, providing structured training, global career opportunities, and recognized service standards. SO/ Sofitel properties generally emphasize distinctive design, personalized service, local experiences, and energetic guest engagement. The Director of Food and Beverage would play a senior role in shaping the resort’s dining identity, commercial performance, and overall guest satisfaction.
Thailand is not one island but a country with many popular island destinations, including Phuket, Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao, and Krabi’s surrounding islands. This position is based in Hua Hin and Cha-Am on the mainland, a relaxed coastal area about two to three hours from Bangkok, rather than on an island. Hospitality opportunities are widely available in hotels, resorts, restaurants, wellness centers, tourism businesses, and events, especially in major beach destinations. Thai culture values politeness, respect, family, and adaptable service, while daily life can offer warm weather, affordable food, beaches, markets, and an active expatriate community. Foreign employees generally need a Non-Immigrant B visa and a Thai work permit, normally arranged with employer support before or after arrival. Candidates should budget for housing, transport, health insurance, document legalization, and initial relocation expenses. Learning basic Thai is highly beneficial for work and everyday life.
