Fairmont Makati is a luxury hotel in Makati City, the Philippines’ major business and commercial district. It is part of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, an international luxury hospitality brand operated by Accor. The property offers upscale guest rooms and suites, restaurants and bars, meeting and event facilities, wellness amenities and professional services for leisure and business travelers. Its location near offices, shopping centers and cultural attractions makes it a prominent venue for corporate travel, conferences, celebrations and city stays. Fairmont emphasizes warm, personalized service while maintaining high international standards in guest care, dining, accommodation and sustainability. Employees typically work in a multicultural hotel environment and gain exposure to different areas of hospitality, including sales, events, food and beverage, rooms and guest relations.
The Philippines offers opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, tourism, business services, technology, healthcare and education, with Manila, Cebu, Boracay and Palawan serving as important employment centers. Filipino culture is welcoming, family-oriented and community-minded, and English is widely used in workplaces. Life can be lively and affordable compared with many international cities, although Makati has higher rents and heavy traffic. The country has a tropical climate, excellent beaches and diverse regional food and traditions. Foreign nationals generally need an appropriate work visa or permit before taking paid employment; employers commonly assist with documentation, while internship requirements may differ for students and school placements. New arrivals should budget for accommodation deposits, transport, health insurance and utilities. Research local employment rules, verify the offer with the company, and arrange accommodation and immigration paperwork before relocating. Domestic flights connect Manila with major island destinations.
