The Luxury Reservation Consultant supports guests and travel partners by handling luxury hotel reservations, amendments, cancellations and special requests. The role requires fluent Italian and strong English; additional Spanish or other European languages are advantageous. Candidates should have excellent communication, sales and customer-service skills, attention to detail, confidence using reservation or customer relationship systems, and a professional telephone manner. Experience in luxury hospitality, reservations, travel or contact-centre operations is preferred. The successful candidate is expected to deliver personalised service, meet commercial targets, recommend suitable Accor properties and room options, maintain accurate booking information, and work effectively with hotel, sales and revenue teams. Flexibility for shifts, weekends or public holidays may be required.
Accor is a major international hospitality group operating hotels, resorts and serviced residences across the world. Its portfolio includes recognised brands such as Raffles, Fairmont, Sofitel, Pullman, Swissôtel, Mövenpick, Novotel, Mercure and ibis, covering luxury, premium, midscale and economy travel. The company combines accommodation with dining, meetings, wellness and loyalty services through its ALL - Accor Live Limitless platform. In a reservation role, employees support guests before arrival and help connect them with the most suitable property or experience. Accor promotes multicultural teams, internal mobility and professional development, with customer care and commercial performance central to its operations. The advertised position is associated with Barcelona, a major European tourism and business centre, and would likely support luxury bookings for Spanish and international markets.
Spain’s islands offer varied hospitality opportunities, especially in hotels, resorts, restaurants, reservations, guest relations, events, wellness and tourism sales. The Balearic Islands—Mallorca, Ibiza and Menorca—are known for seasonal resort work, international visitors and lively summer lifestyles. The Canary Islands, including Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, have a longer tourism season and generally milder weather. Island culture blends Spanish traditions with regional languages, seafood, festivals, outdoor living and a relaxed social pace. Rent can be high in popular destinations, particularly Ibiza, Mallorca and Tenerife, while wages may be lower than in mainland business centres. EU, EEA and Swiss citizens can work without a visa; other nationalities usually need an appropriate work permit arranged with an employer. Relocating workers should secure accommodation early, check transport links, healthcare and registration requirements, and confirm whether a role is year-round or seasonal. Barcelona is not itself an island but provides useful mainland access to the Balearics.
