About the employer

The Sydney Boulevard Hotel is a centrally located hotel in Woolloomooloo, close to Sydney’s CBD, major attractions, restaurants and transport links. It operates within Accor, one of the world’s leading hospitality groups, with a broad portfolio of hotel, resort and lifestyle brands across luxury, premium, midscale and economy segments. Accor properties focus on welcoming service, comfortable accommodation, food and beverage experiences, and reliable facilities for leisure and business travellers. Employees may benefit from an international hospitality network, structured training, career mobility and employee accommodation or travel programs, depending on eligibility and local conditions. In a maintenance role, the hotel environment offers varied work across guest rooms, public spaces, back-of-house areas and building services, making practical reliability, guest awareness and teamwork important qualities.

Working in Australia

Australia offers employment opportunities across hospitality, tourism, construction, healthcare, technology, education and trades. Sydney has a multicultural, fast-paced culture, strong public transport and abundant restaurants, beaches, parks and entertainment, although housing and living costs are high. Workplaces generally value punctuality, safety, practical communication and inclusive teamwork. Common visa pathways include the Working Holiday Maker program for eligible young travellers, employer-sponsored skilled visas and other skilled or training visas; requirements, occupation lists and sponsorship conditions should be checked with the Australian Department of Home Affairs. Applicants usually need valid work rights, identity documents and, for some roles, police or health checks. Relocating to Sydney typically involves arranging accommodation, a tax file number, bank account, phone service and appropriate health or travel insurance. Australia is a continent and country rather than a single island, but its coastal lifestyle and many offshore islands make it a popular destination for outdoor living.
