About the employer

Mövenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali is an upscale beachfront resort in Jimbaran, Bali, operated under the Mövenpick brand within Accor, a major international hospitality group. The resort combines contemporary Balinese design with family-friendly facilities, restaurants, event spaces, pools, and spa services. Its location provides access to Jimbaran Bay, seafood dining, beaches, and southern Bali’s tourism attractions. Mövenpick is known for European-inspired hospitality, food and beverage experiences, and service traditions such as its chocolate-focused guest offerings. As part of Accor, the property generally provides employees with access to structured hotel operations, international service standards, training programs, and potential career mobility across the group. Kitchen employees work in a multicultural environment serving resort guests, events, and several dining outlets.

Working in Indonesia

Bali offers strong employment opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, villas, wellness centers, events, and tourism services, particularly in areas such as Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, Kuta, Seminyak, and Ubud. The culture blends Hindu traditions, temple ceremonies, art, dance, and community life, and respectful dress and behavior are important. Lifestyle is generally relaxed, with beaches, outdoor activities, and a large international community, although traffic and seasonal tourism can be demanding. Foreign nationals require an Indonesian employer to sponsor the appropriate work authorization, commonly involving a work permit process and KITAS; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Relocating candidates should confirm accommodation, meals, service charge, insurance, airfare, taxes, and permit costs in the employment contract. Living expenses vary considerably, with housing near major resort areas usually costing more.
