The Executive Chef leads all culinary operations at SO/ Sofitel Hua Hin, including restaurants, banquets, menus, food quality, kitchen standards, budgeting and team development. Candidates should have substantial experience as an Executive Chef or senior chef in an upscale hotel or resort, strong knowledge of international and local cuisine, food safety, cost control and menu engineering. The role requires proven leadership, creativity, commercial awareness and the ability to maintain consistent standards in a busy luxury hospitality environment. Fluency in English, excellent communication skills and experience working with multicultural teams are expected. A relevant culinary qualification and knowledge of Thai hospitality practices would be advantageous.
SO/ Sofitel Hua Hin is a distinctive luxury resort in Cha-Am, on Thailand’s Gulf coast, operated under Accor’s international hospitality group. The SO/ brand combines contemporary design, playful individuality and stylish resort experiences with the service standards associated with Sofitel and Accor. The property welcomes leisure guests, families, couples, groups and event customers, offering dining, accommodation, recreational facilities and wellness experiences near Hua Hin. Accor is one of the world’s major hospitality companies, with a broad portfolio of hotel brands across luxury, premium, midscale and economy segments. Working at the resort typically means joining a multicultural team, serving international visitors and contributing to a creative, guest-focused environment. The Executive Chef plays a central role in shaping the resort’s culinary identity, supporting revenue performance and maintaining food quality, safety and guest satisfaction across all outlets.
Hua Hin and nearby Cha-Am are coastal resort destinations rather than islands, but they provide an easy base for exploring Thailand’s Gulf islands and beaches. Hospitality opportunities are strongest in hotels, resorts, restaurants, wellness, events and tourism services, with larger resorts often hiring international managers and experienced chefs. The area has a relaxed lifestyle, seafood markets, cafés, golf courses, beaches and a growing expatriate community, while Bangkok is reachable by road or rail. Thai culture places importance on politeness, respect, hierarchy and maintaining a calm manner; learning basic Thai is useful. Foreign employees normally need a job offer, employer sponsorship, a Non-Immigrant B visa and a work permit before starting work. Employers may assist with documentation, accommodation and relocation, but arrangements vary. New arrivals should budget for deposits, transport and private healthcare, and confirm salary, service charge, benefits, working hours and visa support in writing.
