Working in United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but it offers a highly international lifestyle across Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the other emirates. Hospitality, events, tourism, retail, aviation and business services provide many opportunities for experienced professionals, particularly those with Arabic and English skills. Dubai’s culture blends Emirati traditions with communities from around the world; modest dress in formal and religious settings, respect for local customs and awareness of Islamic holidays are important. The lifestyle is modern and convenient, with excellent transport, restaurants, beaches and entertainment, although summer heat and living costs can be significant. Most overseas employees require employer-sponsored residence and work visas; employers commonly arrange medical checks, Emirates ID processing and labour documentation. Candidates should confirm benefits such as accommodation, transport, insurance and annual flights before relocating. A valid passport, authenticated documents and a clear employment contract are usually required.
