The Senior Sales Manager will drive corporate, leisure, group, and business-development sales for Mercure Rayong Lomtalay Villas & Resort. Requirements typically include several years of hotel sales experience, strong knowledge of the Rayong or Eastern Thailand market, an established client network, excellent English and communication skills, and confidence using sales and hotel systems. The successful candidate is expected to create and implement sales plans, achieve revenue targets, manage key accounts, develop partnerships, conduct client visits and sales calls, support marketing activities, and maintain accurate forecasts and reports. Leadership, negotiation, presentation skills, flexibility, and a commercially focused approach are important. Thai language ability and local market knowledge would be advantageous.
Mercure Rayong Lomtalay Villas & Resort is an Accor property located in Rayong, on Thailand’s eastern coast. Mercure is Accor’s internationally recognised midscale hotel brand, combining local character with dependable service standards, comfortable accommodation, dining, leisure facilities, and meeting or event services. The resort serves holidaymakers, families, corporate travellers, and groups visiting Rayong’s beaches, islands, and nearby industrial and business centres. As part of Accor, the property benefits from global sales channels, loyalty programmes, training resources, and career opportunities across an international hospitality network. The resort’s coastal setting and proximity to destinations such as Koh Samet make it suitable for both leisure and business demand. The Senior Sales Manager would help strengthen the hotel’s market presence, build commercial partnerships, and grow room, event, and related resort revenue.
Rayong is a coastal province rather than an island, with easy access to Koh Samet and other eastern seaboard destinations. Hospitality jobs are available in resorts, hotels, restaurants, tourism sales, events, transport, and wellness, while larger opportunities exist in nearby Pattaya and the Eastern Economic Corridor. Local culture values politeness, respect for elders, modest behaviour, and good relationships. Life is generally quieter and less expensive than Bangkok, with beaches, seafood, markets, and outdoor activities, although transport is easier with a car or motorbike. Foreign employees normally need an employer-sponsored Non-Immigrant B visa and work permit; requirements should be confirmed with the employer and Thai authorities. Relocating staff should budget for housing deposits, health insurance, transport, and document processing. Thai language basics are useful, and professional hotel roles commonly expect strong English. Weekend and holiday work is normal in hospitality.
