Working in United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates is a major destination for hospitality, tourism, aviation, retail, and service-sector careers, especially in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The country offers a modern, multicultural lifestyle, excellent infrastructure, warm weather, beaches, shopping, and extensive dining and entertainment. Its culture combines Islamic traditions with an international workforce, so respectful dress, considerate behavior, and awareness of local customs are important. Most overseas employees require employer-sponsored residence and work visas; the employer typically arranges entry approval, medical testing, Emirates ID, and work authorization. Many hotel positions include accommodation, transport, meals, insurance, and annual air tickets, but applicants should confirm these details in writing. Housing and leisure costs can be high, particularly in Dubai, although tax-free salaries may improve savings. Public transport is strong in Dubai, while a driving licence is useful for wider travel.
