Emirates is the flagship international airline of the United Arab Emirates and a major part of the Emirates Group, headquartered in Dubai. The airline operates an extensive global network from Dubai International Airport, connecting passengers and cargo destinations across the Middle East, Asia, Africa, Europe, the Americas and Australasia. Emirates is known for its wide-body fleet, international workforce and strong focus on service, safety, operational performance and innovation. The wider group includes aviation, airport services, catering, travel and hospitality businesses. Employees typically work in a multicultural environment with structured corporate processes, professional development opportunities and exposure to large-scale international operations. Benefits may include travel privileges, medical cover and other allowances, although the exact package depends on the position, grade and employment terms.
The United Arab Emirates is a Gulf country rather than an island, made up of seven emirates, including Dubai and Abu Dhabi. It offers strong opportunities in aviation, logistics, security, technology, finance, hospitality, construction and professional services. The culture combines Islamic traditions, Emirati heritage and a highly international lifestyle. English is widely used at work, while Arabic is the official language. Residents enjoy modern housing, shopping, beaches, restaurants and extensive air connections, although summers are extremely hot. Employment normally requires an offer from a UAE-registered employer, who usually sponsors the work permit, entry visa, medical checks and Emirates ID process. Dependants may be sponsored subject to salary and immigration rules. Before relocating, candidates should review housing costs, health insurance, schooling, transport and contract benefits. Dubai and Abu Dhabi can be expensive, while other emirates may offer lower living costs. Respect for local laws, dress expectations and religious customs is essential.
