Emirates is a major international airline headquartered in Dubai and part of the Emirates Group. Founded in 1985, it operates a large wide-body fleet and connects Dubai with destinations across Europe, Asia, Africa, the Americas and the Middle East. The airline is known for its global brand, premium onboard service and extensive investment in customer experience, technology and sponsorships. Emirates employs a diverse international workforce across aviation, commercial, engineering, airport operations, technology and corporate functions. Its marketing and events teams manage high-profile partnerships in areas such as sport, culture, entertainment and business, helping strengthen the airline’s worldwide presence. Employees benefit from working in a highly international environment, although roles can be demanding and performance-focused. Dubai also provides access to a modern business hub with strong aviation, tourism and events industries.
The United Arab Emirates is a modern Gulf federation made up of seven emirates, including Dubai and Abu Dhabi. It offers opportunities in aviation, tourism, hospitality, logistics, finance, technology, construction, retail and events. The culture combines Islamic traditions with a highly international population; modest dress and respect for local customs are appreciated, especially during Ramadan. Lifestyle options range from beaches, shopping and restaurants to desert activities, museums and a lively events calendar. Dubai is fast-paced and cosmopolitan, while Abu Dhabi is generally quieter and more spacious. Employers usually sponsor work visas, residence permits and medical checks for successful overseas hires; employees should not work on a tourist visa. Relocation packages vary and may include flights, accommodation support or insurance. Living costs, particularly rent and schooling, can be high, so candidates should confirm benefits, probation terms, working hours and end-of-service arrangements before moving.
