Working in Philippines

The Philippines is an archipelago with strong hospitality opportunities on major islands and resort destinations such as Luzon, Cebu, Boracay, Palawan and Mindanao. Hotels, restaurants, tourism businesses and cruise-related companies regularly recruit room attendants, servers, cooks, reception staff and maintenance workers. Filipino culture is generally warm, family-oriented and English-friendly, while workplace values emphasize courtesy, teamwork and adaptability. Island life can offer beautiful beaches, outdoor activities and a relaxed lifestyle, although transport, healthcare and internet access vary outside major cities. Filipino citizens do not need a visa to work domestically. Foreign nationals must secure an appropriate work permit and employment visa, normally arranged with employer support, before legally working. Relocating applicants should confirm accommodation, meals, transport, medical coverage and service-charge terms in writing.
