Working in Philippines

The Philippines offers hospitality opportunities across Metro Manila, Cebu, Boracay, Palawan, Bohol, and other island destinations. Hotels, resorts, restaurants, cruise operations, and catering companies regularly recruit chefs, supervisors, and skilled service professionals, with stronger demand during peak tourism seasons. Filipino culture is welcoming, family-oriented, and community-minded, while English is widely used in workplaces. Island living can provide beautiful beaches, warm weather, affordable local food, and a relaxed lifestyle, although transport, healthcare access, utilities, and internet quality vary by location. Living costs are generally lower outside Manila, but tourist islands may become expensive during busy periods. Filipino citizens can apply locally. Foreign candidates normally need an employer-sponsored Alien Employment Permit and 9(g) work visa, and should not begin work before approval. Research accommodation, contract benefits, weather risks, and transport before relocating.
